Police in the UK are warning of a telephone lottery scam where victims are informed over the telephone that they have won a large lottery prize on an overseas lottery draw. The warning is currently being given out by South Yorkshire Police force but everyone should beware, especially pensioners and the vulnerable who seem to be the main target for this despicable lottery scam .

Lottery grant for Welsh castle

A lottery bid for a Welsh castle worth ?4.5 million is being finalised right now allowing Cardigan Castle to be turned into a heritage centre and Welsh language school. The money, paid to the Cadwgan Building Preservation trust via a lottery grant for good causes will allow the castle to be transformed, yet kept the same, restoring many of the castle’s original features and heritage.
